About Andrew Lewis

Andrew I am a computer scientist, author, lecturer and freelance journalist with a strong interest in 3D scanning and computation. I am currently conducting research in archaeometrics at the University of Wolverhampton, where I continues to advocate the use of linux and open source technology.

I'm a keen Maker, and I have a fondness for legacy technology, reclaimed materials, and open hardware. Some of my projects have been featured in O'Reilly magazine publications, and at conferences throughout the UK.

Most recently, I have been invoved in the development of an opensource 3D scanning system called Project Splinescan. Further information about the scanner can be obtained on the project website, where detailed open source plans we soon be available for download.
